Following the recent account-sharing incidents involving several players, our team conducted a thorough review of the available evidence and community feedback. A common concern raised by players was the perception that, if cheating occurred on a large enough scale, there would be little to no consequences. Unfortunately, past situations have sometimes reinforced that belief. After careful discussion, the team agreed that it would not be fair to players for repeated cheating to go unaddressed. As a result of our investigation, we have permanently banned three players from the game. In addition, badges have been removed from many of the accounts, and several other accounts have been locked after being identified as accounts who the owners haven't played in a long time, that were being used by other players.

The last war has confirmed again what we were already afraid of: that cheating, if anything, has intensified since we allowed scripting. We're aware that basically all major crews use remote desktop solutions to control other players' accounts, and have in many cases even automated this. One player controlling 20 accounts in a semi-automated fashion is now not unusual.

First: this is incredibly unsafe. Do not let other people remote into your computer, period. If it were me I would consider such a computer permanently compromised and in need of a full disk wipe and reinstallation of the operating system.

But of course, the even more pressing concern is what this means for the game. We understand we are partly to blame for this ourselves. Allowing scripting overnight without clear guidelines and rules has done nothing to help prevent this arms race. But let us now be clear for a change: this is not how the game is meant to be played.

Today I'd like to introduce you to the latest addition to the admin team. Knight and Airofina both have a lot going on in their day-to-day life and have indicated an extra hand in dealing with all the support tickets and other issues is a necessity, not a luxury.

Killaman has been with us for a long time and has built up sufficient trust with the rest of us that we feel comfortable handing him the scepter of adminhood.

From now on, Killaman will not just be able to pass on the message to one of the other admins, he will also be able to act and help out which will reduce the amount of time spent waiting for an admin to have a look at your issue request.
